Color-Theory Experiment
I was asked to select a catalyst image and use only the colors found within it to create a new work. The purpose of the project was to explore color and understand how to use it effectively within a restricted palette. I carefully color-matched the image using acrylic paint and applied the palette to a skateboard design, paying attention to contrast and visual hierarchy. I chose a skateboard as the surface because I grew up skating, making the project a direct connection between the color study and my personal experience.
